In this session, participants will learn about TESOL Arabia, its committees, and its publications. The newly revised By Laws will be examined so that members can see how TESOL Arabia is now more responsive to its members. Support for professional development through grants will be examined. Opportunities for professional growth such will also be explored. The online options offered members such as updating membership profile through the homepage and participation in various e-lists will be reviewed.

The second component of the presentation will focus on TESOL, Inc., the committees, the Board of Directors, the Central Office and how to get things done in TESOL. The publications and an overview of the electronic resources developed by TESOL, Inc. will be presented.

Biodata
Jane Hoelker teaches in the Academic Bridge Program at the Qatar Foundation. She has taught in Asia, Africa and the UAE. She is the incoming President of TESOL Arabia and active in TESOL. She has an MA from the School for International Training.
